Girl falls from house window (Berala)
A girl suffered multiple injuries when she fell from a first floor window of a house at Berala in Sydney’s south-west today.
Ambulance paramedics called the CareFlight rapid-response trauma team to assist treating the girl shortly after 4.30 pm.
The CareFlight doctor said the 12-year-old girl fell six metes to the ground when a flyscreen gave way and she fell onto concrete below.
The girl suffered a fractured leg and a mild head injury.
After stabilisation the girl was taken by roade ambulance, under continuing treatment by the CareFlight doctor, to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead where she remained in a serious but stable condition on arrival.
